How to Check the Moisture Content of Wood Without a Meter?

- Weigh and Dry Method: Weigh the wood sample and record its weight (A). Dry the wood in an oven or under direct sunlight until it reaches a consistent weight (B). Calculate the moisture content as [(A-B)/B] x 100%.
- Electrical Resistance Method: Insert two electrodes into the wood sample and measure the electrical resistance between them. The higher the resistance, the lower the moisture content.
- Microwave Oven Method: Heat the wood sample in a microwave oven for a short duration. The weight loss due to moisture evaporation can be used to determine the moisture content.
